"Suzie" is for our mother, Sue.


We started making pies in 1993 with help from our grandmother's cookbook. Fried pies always had a special place at our family table. Lemon pies in December, when we needed a gentle slap of tartness to remind us that the brightness of summer would return. Coconut for Easter. Peach for the fourth of July. Apple for Thanksgiving. Chocolate... always. 

We may not make the pies in our family kitchen anymore, but we've kept the business family-owned and operated. We've also stayed true to those homemade pies by keeping the ingredients delicious and simple, without preservatives, added flavors and all that nonsense.

Our magic comes from making pies at scale that look and taste handcrafted. It’s been a journey of machinery invention, process reinvention, tinkering with recipes for years and years, building and rebuilding. The goal has always been the same: continual improvement in the process, in the flavor, and the experience of bite after bite.

We are located in Calera, Alabama. And make thousands of pies a day now. :)
